SAA-uk are a small, dynamic Leeds-based arts organisation, established in 1997, which promotes South Asian Arts in the Yorkshire region and beyond. The organisation is a charity committed to: Creating platforms to promote music, dance and visual arts, providing access to life long learning/training in the South Asian Arts, and advocating South Asian arts development in the Yorkshire Region.
We believe that the arts have the power to transform and enable individuals to transcend boundaries and limitations and that engagement with the arts empowers children and young people to contribute positively to society.
BOARD OF DIRECTORS
SAA-uk always welcomes the opportunity to work with like-minded individuals with a passion for the arts. One way we do this is by inviting people to become members of the Board of Directors (current list of members) on a voluntary basis.
SAA-uk is currently looking for Board members with particular expertise in:
- Finance
- Law
- Knowledge and/or interest in South Asian arts is desirable
